Board Candidate for 2018

My name is Larry Canepa and I would be honored to serve my community on the Meadows Board of Governors. I am submitting this letter and my professional resume to announce my candidacy for the upcoming board vacancy. As a homeowner for 4 ½ years in the Meadows I would love to work in the interest of the HOA and residents of this great development. My wife and I have two beautiful daughters, 9 and 6 ½, and I also have two adult children, 26 and 23, who currently reside in California. I have worked for one of the nation's largest financial institutions for over 17 years. In my spare time I am a musician and singer, and play in a local cover band. I also enjoy playing sports in the warmer months.

 

My family and I originally resided in the Feathergrass neighborhood, but moved into the Gambel Oak neighborhood a little over a year ago. We’re so proud to be residents in a community that has grown tastefully and responsibly and look forward to being here for a very long time. The fact that we have such a vested interest in the community propels my desire to further serve and give back.

 

My employer allows me to home office, which affords me the flexibility to dedicate the necessary time to serve on the Board and attend all meetings. Since moving to Colorado in 2010, I have served as a volunteer in several different capacities; first as an Emergency Department Liaison at Sky Ridge Medical Center, at the Cherokee Ranch and Castle as an event volunteer for outdoor events, and most recently as a soccer coach with the Colorado Real. This experience has opened my eyes to how rewarding giving back to your community can be.

 

If I’m privileged enough to be chosen for the Board vacancy I will use my background, education and business experience in serving the best interest of our HOA, and in turn our residents, in that capacity.

Homeowners are welcome to provide input, comments, or ask
questions at the beginning of every regular monthly Board
meeting during Open Forum.

Most Board meetings are held on the first Thursday of the month
and in order to accommodate different homeowner schedules,
there are both afternoon and evening meeting times.
