Volunteers are the Key to

Event Success

One of the best perks available to residents of The Meadows is access to a variety of programming and events. Most of these events require the time, labor and assistance from volunteers. Helping out, if even for an hour or two, directly impacts the success of the events in your own community and therefore makes it a better and more connected community to live in.  Opportunities are always listed on this Volunteers page. You may also call The Grange at 303.814.2358 or email

Opportunity 1:

Easter EGGstravaganza

The first outdoor community event of the year, The Meadows Easter EGGstravaganza will take place this year on Saturday, March 31, from 1-3 p.m., at Butterfield Crossing Park, here in The Meadows.

Dozens of volunteers are needed both before and after this event in order for it to be a success. If you are interested, contact The Grange at 303.814.3953 or e-mail .

High School Students: Volunteer and you can earn the community service hours you need for graduation!

Please let us know if you can help us with any of the following:

Before the Event:

Jell-O Eggs - For our event-day Jell-O egg-eating contest, we need at least 80 Jell-O eggs! If you have the time to make a few for us, we'd be most grateful. We'll provide the gelatin and the molds, if you'll provide the time to make them and bring them to The Grange by March 30. We could use at least 6 people to make about 13 or 14 eggs each.

Positions Filled, Thank you!
Stuffing Plastic Easter Eggs
- This years' event will feature five egg hunt circles with over 30,000 plastic eggs that need to be filled with candy. This is a project that can be done at home and each volunteer will stuff approximately 2,500 eggs. Volunteers are asked to please pick up the plastic eggs and the candy from The Grange any time after March 1and then return the stuffed eggs back to The Grange by Friday, March 23.

Day of the Event:

Set Up - This includes taking supplies from The Grange to Butterfield Crossing Park, setting up the egg hunt circles, games and booths at the Park, and setting up all tables, chairs, and anything else needed for the event. We generally begin at 9 a.m. and are done by 12 noon. Trucks and vans are helpful for this part!

During the Event - There are many positions available, including helping at our children's arts and crafts table, helping "guard" the egg hunt circles until the hunt is called, assisting with the egg hunts, helping at the children's games and craft tables, helping with the Jell-O egg eating contest, manning the jelly bean counting contest, and assisting with other activities. The event is from 1-3 on 3/31 and an hour or two will help.

Clean Up - After the event is over, we need to pack up all tables, chairs, tents, and other supplies and move it all back to The Grange. Again, trucks and vans are helpful for this part! We start at 3 p.m. and are generally finished by 4:30 p.m.
