Volunteer Coordinator for the Meadows Hiking Club and Meadows Resident
The purpose of The Meadows Hiking Club is to provide an opportunity for those interested in hiking to meet other hikers on a regular basis and experience a variety of different hikes. Our hiking experience will range from less strenuous evening hikes to more aggressive and difficult Saturday hikes up some of Colorado's highest mountain peaks.
We currently have 54 members in our club who have participated in our hikes in 2011. We completed 36 hikes last season hiking on 28 different trails. We completed 4 climbs summiting six of Colorado's 14er peaks. We had 21 members join us on our first 14er climb and all 21 completed the climb including those who were attempting their first 14er.
If you are interested in hiking, meeting new people in The Meadows, and enjoying the beauty that Colorado offers, as well as getting some good exercise, come to one of our meetings and join our group.
